ChatGPT ads creative

Square creative for ChatGPT ads, from your product URL.

The Sponsored card wants one clean 1:1 image and about 24 characters of title. Paste your product page and get squares built for that card, accurate to your real packaging. You upload them to OpenAI's Ads Manager.

This is advertiser access, which is not the same as ads being served to users in a country. Brazil is the clearest example: a Brazilian company can open an account while ads are not yet delivered to users inside Brazil. Check both sides before you plan a budget.

How it works

A product URL in.
Card-ready squares out.

The Sponsored card is small, sits inside an answer someone trusts, and supplies its own copy. That rewards clean and accurate over loud, which is the opposite of what wins in a social feed.

Step 01

Paste your product URL

We read your real product page, so packaging, colours, and claims stay accurate. No prompt to write, and no brief to fill in.

Step 02

Get squares built for a small card

Every creative comes out 1:1, the ratio the Sponsored card uses. Clean enough to read at 512 pixels, because the card carries its own text.

Step 03

Upload to Ads Manager yourself

You take the files to OpenAI's Ads Manager, or into your Shopify feed for the shopping unit. We make the creative; we do not place the ad.

Example output

Real squares, four verticals.
None of them carry baked-in copy.

Unedited LocalAds output, generated from each brand's real product page. The card writes the words, so the image only has to be clean, accurate, and legible once it shrinks to roughly 512 pixels.

Clean 1:1 square of a black quilted leather shoulder bag held in natural light, no text baked into the imageFashion
Clean 1:1 square of a SuperYou coffee protein wafer with the bar broken open beside its boxFood and snacks
Clean 1:1 square of a Mivikare marine collagen peptides tub on a bathroom counter with fresh orangesSupplements

The specs

One square, two very short lines.

These match OpenAI's own campaign guidance. Some guides publish 50 and 100 characters, which appears to be what the upload form accepts rather than what the card shows before it truncates. Confirm current values in Ads Manager before you build.

What we do and do not do

LocalAds makes the creative

Square, on-brand images generated from your real product page, so packaging, colours, and claims stay accurate. Plus short copy written to the card's character budget, and the same product-grounded imagery for a Shopify feed if you want the shopping unit.

LocalAds does not place ads

We are not an OpenAI partner, we do not buy or manage media, and we cannot guarantee any placement. You upload the files to OpenAI's Ads Manager yourself. Any tool promising guaranteed placement inside ChatGPT is worth a second look.

FAQ

The questions advertisers actually ask.

Does LocalAds place my ChatGPT ads?

No. LocalAds is not an OpenAI partner and does not buy, place, or manage media. We generate the 1:1 square creative and short copy you upload to OpenAI's Ads Manager yourself. If a tool tells you it can guarantee placement inside ChatGPT, treat that as a red flag.

What size are ChatGPT ad images?

A 1:1 square, 256x256 pixels minimum, with around 512x512 the practical target, in JPG, PNG, or WEBP. Because the Sponsored card supplies its own title and copy fields, the image should be clean and legible at small size rather than carrying baked-in text.

Why do other sites list different character limits?

Because they are measuring different things. OpenAI's own campaign guidance points to a 16 to 24 character title and 32 to 48 character copy line, while some guides publish 50 and 100, which appears to be what the upload form accepts rather than what the card displays before truncating. We publish OpenAI's range. Confirm current values in Ads Manager before you build.

Can I run ChatGPT ads from India?

Not yet. Advertiser accounts are open in eight markets and India is not one of them, even though Indian users are reported to be starting to see Sponsored cards on the Free and Go tiers. Those are two different things and they get conflated constantly. Indian brands selling into eligible markets can run there today, and the practical move otherwise is having square creative ready for the day access opens.

Can I just reuse my Meta creative?

Usually not. Meta statics are 4:5 or 9:16 and lean on baked-in headlines, badges, and CTA buttons. Drop one into a small square card that already supplies its own copy and it reads as cluttered and often illegible. The shape is wrong and the text is duplicated. You need a square set built for the placement.

Who actually sees these ads?

Logged-in adults on the Free and ChatGPT Go tiers. Paid tiers, meaning Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education, are ad-free. Targeting works from context hints such as topics and situations rather than exact-match keywords, and there is no guarantee of delivery against any particular prompt.
