1. Delete Data From Inside LocalAds
If you have connected a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or Meta ad account to LocalAds, you can remove that connection yourself at any time from your workspace settings, under Connections. Disconnecting immediately deletes the stored access tokens and the account identifiers we hold for that connection.
Disconnecting stops LocalAds from publishing anything further on your behalf. Posts and ads that were already published stay on Instagram and in your Meta ad account, because they live on Meta's systems and are owned by your accounts, not ours. You can remove those from Instagram or Meta Ads Manager directly.
- Stored Meta access tokens and refresh state.
- Facebook Page IDs, Instagram account IDs, and ad account IDs linked to your workspace.
- The publishing history LocalAds kept for that connection, including scheduled and completed publish jobs.
2. Delete Your Entire LocalAds Account
Deleting your LocalAds account removes your profile, your organization data, generated creatives, uploaded assets, and every third-party connection attached to that organization, including any Meta, Facebook, and Instagram connections.
You can request full account deletion by emailing legal@makelocalads.com from the email address on the account. We will confirm the request, verify that you own the account, and complete the deletion.
3. What We Receive From Meta
When you connect a Meta account, LocalAds receives only what is needed to publish on your behalf. We do not receive your Facebook password, your friends list, your private messages, or your personal profile activity.
- Your name and profile picture, used to show which account is connected.
- The list of Facebook Pages you manage, so you can choose which one to publish through.
- The Instagram Business or Creator account connected to that Page, and its username and ID.
- The list of Meta ad accounts you have access to, so you can choose where creatives are uploaded.
- An access token that authorizes LocalAds to publish the content you explicitly ask it to publish.
4. Request Deletion By Email
You can request deletion of any data LocalAds obtained from Meta, with or without deleting your LocalAds account. Email legal@makelocalads.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request, and include the email address on your LocalAds account and, if you know it, the Instagram username or ad account ID involved.
We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. If we need more information to verify that the request is genuinely yours, we will ask before acting, because we will not delete an account's data on an unverified request.
5. Revoke Access Directly From Meta
You can also revoke the LocalAds connection from Meta's side, without contacting us. This immediately invalidates the access token and stops all publishing.
On Facebook, go to Settings and Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites, find LocalAds, and choose Remove. On Instagram, go to Settings, then Website Permissions or Apps and Websites, and remove LocalAds. You can also remove the app from Business Settings in your Meta Business Portfolio under Apps.
Revoking from Meta stops future access right away. To also erase what we already stored, use the in-app disconnect described above or send us an email request.
6. Retention After Deletion
After a deletion request is completed, we remove the data from our live systems. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal cycle, and residual copies in those backups are deleted within 90 days.
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself, along with billing and transaction records where we are legally required to keep them. These records do not include Meta access tokens or platform content.
7. Contact
For questions about deletion or about how LocalAds handles data from Meta platforms, contact Projekt Analytics Pvt. Ltd. at legal@makelocalads.com. See also our Privacy Policy for the full description of what we collect and why.
